Now we need Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) prior to arrival
Now we need Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) prior to arrival

1. Why we’re talking about this (and why it’s good news!)

Hey travellers! If Thailand is on your radar — and with those stunning beaches, vibrant cities and fried-banana stalls how could it not be — there’s a little new step you’ll need to take before you land. As of 1 May 2025, all foreign visitors entering Thailand via air, sea or land must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) prior to arrival.

But don’t worry — this is good news. The form is online, quick, and it basically means fewer forms and less hassle at the border. Think of it as Thailand saying: “We’re ready for you — let’s make your arrival smooth!”

2. What is the TDAC and who needs it

  • The TDAC replaces the old paper arrival card (the famous TM6) used to be filled on the plane or at the airport.

  • It’s mandatory for all non-Thai nationals entering the Kingdom by air, land or sea.

  • It’s free — yes, no extra fee! For real. (Just use the official site.)

  • You’ll need to submit it within 3 days (72 hours) before your arrival date.

3. How it works (simple, quick, you got this)

Here’s how to knock it out:

  1. Have your passport (and booking details) ready.

  2. Visit the official portal at tdac.immigration.go.th

  3. Click “Arrival Card” → Fill in your personal info, travel/flight details, accommodation in Thailand, health declarations.

  4. If you’re travelling with others (friends/family) you can add them in the same form to save time.

  5. Submit the form. You’ll receive a confirmation with a QR code (or PDF) which you’ll show at immigration.

  6. Arrive in Thailand, scan the QR code, breathe easy — you’re ready for your Thai adventure!

4. Why this is actually a win for you

  • Faster border control: With your info submitted in advance, you spend less time in line.

  • Fewer paper forms: No more filling in tiny box forms on shaky airplane tray-tables.

  • Peace of mind: You’ve done the homework ahead, so when you land you can focus on where to eat, explore, beach-chill, not on paperwork.

  • MASX has your back! We’ll remind you, help you check your submission, and make sure you don’t miss this simple but essential step.

5. Things to keep an eye on (so your arrival stays fun)

  • Make sure you use the official website. Some unofficial sites may charge or be scams.

  • Double-check your passport details, hotel address, arrival date/flight number — errors can cause delays.

  • If your travel plans change (flight delay, cancelled hotel, change of arrival point) you may need to update your submission. Good to check.

  • Don’t rely on being able to fill it out on arrival, especially if you cross by land or a remote entry point — best done ahead.

Thailand is calling: tropical beaches, street-food carts, temples, tuk-tuks, warm smiles. You’ve got the fun part ahead. Make sure the pre-arrival part is smooth too — submit your TDAC, pack your bags, set your playlist, and get ready for adventure. When you land, we at MASX will be cheering you on: Go soak in the sun, taste the mango sticky rice, explore the markets — you deserve it. 🎉
